Melted chocolate sauce makes every bowl of non-dairy ice cream EXTRA special! That is why pastry chefs use dipping chocolate when they aim to transform a plain ice-cream-sundae into a chocolate-coated masterpiece. Here is my easy, 2-ingredient, vegan, magic chocolate sauce recipe. I used 80% chocolate drops, but any quality dark chocolate containing 65 to 85% cocoa is perfect in this recipe. I love the fact that this chocolate sauce is adding totally guilt-free antioxidants to my desserts.


Magic Chocolate Sauce

Ingredients

1 cup dark chocolate chips or chunks
1 tablespoon refined coconut oil
vegan vanilla ice cream 

Makes 1 cup chocolate sauce

Instructions

1. Combine chocolate and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 60 seconds. Remove and stir to combine into a glossy, smooth chocolate sauce. You can also heat chocolate chips and coconut oil over a pot of gently boiling water until
melted. Be careful to keep chocolate dry - with no water in the bowl.
2. In preparation for the chocolate sauce, have your vegan ice cream frozen and ready to serve. Simply pour melted chocolate sauce over scoops of ice cream and watch as it hardens quickly. Have fun with toppings like nuts, fruit or even large crystal salt which enhances the chocolate flavor.
