Tahini - healthy fat and protein without nuts

Peanut butter and tahini are pretty similar nutritionally. They are both high in healthy fats and add a nutty flavor and smooth texture to our healthy baking recipes. Notably tahini, a seed, is safe for people who have tree nut allergies. Tahini packs a punch of protein, B-vitamins and minerals like magnesium, calcium and phosphorus. When buying Tahini, make sure it has only sesame as ingredient. You don’t want fillers like vegetable oils. A good source is Sun And Seed (online through Amazon) or Trader Joe’s.
